Plastic Vengeance
01/19/10 - The temperate waters to the south afford a hospitable habitat to more and greener vegetative sea life, a fact made all too unavoidable to us as the Nautilus upon surfacing became entangled in a floating island of Gordian kelp, which seemed to devour the ship with an unebbing constancy. Two of the crew were assigned to the Sisyphean duty of diving below to cut the damned vines from the screws with knives. Once freed we put on steam on a straight course heading south-southeast.

Blue Vengeance
1/12/10 - There appeared in the night sky to the south a weird glow, writhing in translucent gold. The Nautilus dove and followed a steady course beneath the water toward the ethereal mirage, but upon surfacing the sky was black and the night still. The shipped bobbed on the boundless black sea. The captain's fevered brain seemed to inflict upon him a sort of spiritual paralysis the likes of which neither I nor my companion have seen before or since.

Pop Vengeance
1/5/10 - We cleared the ice fields just after the dawn of the new decade and put in at the first thawed harbor for repairs and some modest improvements to the ship. Trolled into open sea and established radio contact with a Bohemian freighter. Dove to 200 fathoms, where the Nautilus cruised the clear waters with such a restless dominion that a wayward balloon pilot whose course might chance to pass him above that scene might mistake the shadowy form for some terrifying Leviathan risen from the darkness to silently lord it over the quivering schools at the surface.
